The Hilton hotel offers its guests the world’s first under water restaurant in its Maldives Resort & Spa at the Rangali Island. This unique restaurant beautifully sits about 16 feet below sea on the ocean floor of the vibrant Indian ocean. This amazing restaurant has a 270-degree under water view. Ithaa, the restaurant uses curved acrylic that offers the guests here a sensational experience of being surrounded by sea and its wonderful creatures. This underwater restaurant can accommodate 14 guests at one time and they can reach this area by a descending spiral staircase.
Accommodation
The Hilton Maldives Resort & Spa at the Rangali Island does not offer any stay options. But on special occasion like when celebrating its anniversary, this restaurant offers its guests a chance to not only eat under water but sleep under it as well. This 12-seat restaurant is converted to a private suite for two and is complete with a private champagne dinner and even breakfast in bed the next morning. This under water stay is extremely relaxing and calming that rejuvenate the soul and body.
Dining
Ithaa the undersea restaurant sits about five meters below the water surface in the Indian Ocean. The structure is encased in beautifully molded plexiglass and can be reached by a descending spiral staircase. This restaurant offers magnificent views or the water life and fusion Maldivian cuisine. With startling view of beautiful water creatures hovering around it offers an extremely stunning site for the dinners that come here.
